Temporary Senior Project Manager - 12 months

Our client is seeking a Temporary Senior Project Manager for a 12-month Fixed Term Contract to lead and drive the implementation of major projects and small changes aimed at enhancing digital banking platforms and innovative card propositions. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering projects on time, adhering to quality standards and defined scope by employing best practice Agile project management skills, tools, and techniques. Engaging and leading cross-functional teams, as well as managing the direct project team, the role will focus on delivering scalable business solutions. Additionally, the selected candidate will manage applications and solutions once in operation, ensuring that systems are resilient, reliable, and secure while providing value to clients. The position requires a proactive approach to assessing project feasibility, impact, and aligning with strategic objectives to ensure efficient implementation of initiatives.

Job Duties:

  • Conduct pre-analysis of project/small enhancement scope, including deliverables and timelines.
  • Develop project dashboards and reports that provide accurate information regarding ongoing progress, risks, and impact.
  • Drive the development of change plans, including communication, training, stakeholder engagement, and monitoring of change impacts.
  • Ensure the implementation of required information management processes and systems in accordance with organisational and regulatory standards.
  • Adopt delivered solutions into business as usual, including all necessary documentation and completion of a close-out report.
  • Maintain and improve solutions throughout their lifecycle.

Job Requirements:

  • First Degree or Professional qualification in Business Commerce or Project Management is preferred; a Post Graduate Degree is advantageous.
  • 8-10 years of significant experience in end-to-end management of large-scale strategic projects.
  • Proficiency in project maintenance, management, planning, reporting, and resourcing.
  • Strong ability to adopt practical approaches and articulate information effectively.
  • Competence in directing teams and documenting facts.
