Finance Manager

Our client is seeking a Finance Manager to join their Finance department located in Guernsey. This role reports directly to the Head of Finance and plays a pivotal role in the digital transformation of financial systems. The successful candidate will support the implementation and development of new financial systems, particularly focusing on enhancing processes and procedures to accommodate future business growth. The Finance Manager will also be involved in maintaining financial controls, ensuring compliance with financial regulations, and producing timely management information. This is a full-time position, and the duties require a meticulous approach and the ability to engage with various stakeholders across the organisation. The role offers the opportunity to be part of a dynamic team that values innovation and responsiveness in the financial markets.

Job Duties:

  • Drive the digital transformation of the Finance function through financial systems development.
  • Support the Head of Finance with the implementation and development of new financial systems, including the migration to NetSuite.
  • Enhance existing processes and procedures to accommodate business growth.
  • Develop Finance processes for automating invoice generation with API integration.
  • Maintain and develop financial controls with a focus on SOX compliance.
  • Provide timely, useful management information and prepare monthly management accounts.
  • Liaise with auditors to ensure timely provision of information for audit requests.
  • Prepare annual financial statements and ensure compliance with UK GAAP (FRS102).
  • Assist with the preparation of annual budget schedules and perform budget variance analysis.
  • Monitor cash balances and cash utilisation while providing support to junior Finance team members.

Job Requirements:

  • Suitable professional qualification, such as ACCA or equivalent.
  • Proven experience within the finance industry, particularly in financial reporting and audit.
  • High proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage various stakeholders.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work.
  • Ability to manage pressure and meet deadlines effectively.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of financial regulations.
