MLRO / MLCO

Our client is seeking a qualified professional to fill the role of MLRO, with the possibility of also considering candidates for the MLCO position. This role is essential for ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements related to anti-money laundering. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the implementation and management of the necessary policies and procedures aimed at preventing money laundering activities. The role entails working closely with various departments to ensure that all staff are trained and aware of their responsibilities related to antimoney laundering legislation. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in a similar role and possess strong analytical skills. This position is key to safeguarding the integrity of our client’s operations and enhancing their reputation in the market. An ability to communicate effectively and build relationships within the company and with regulators is crucial. The position is offered on a full-time basis.

Job Duties:

• Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of the company’s AML policies and procedures.
• Act as the main point of contact for regulatory authorities regarding AML matters.
• Conduct regular reviews and audits of the company’s AML framework to ensure compliance.
• Provide training and support to employees on AML best practices and regulations.
• Prepare and submit timely reports as required by law and regulatory authorities.
• Monitor transactions and customer activities for suspicious behaviour.
• Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to address any AML concerns.

Job Requirements:

• Proven experience in a similar MLRO or MLCO role within a financial services environment.
• In-depth knowledge of applicable anti-money laundering legislation and regulations.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to assess risk.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Relevant professional qualifications in compliance or an equivalent field.
