Supervisions Executive

Our client is seeking a dedicated Supervisions Executive to join their team on a part-time basis, working for two days per week. The successful candidate will undertake AML/CFT supervisory inspections for member practices registered under the Designated Business (Registration and Oversight) Act 2015, ensuring compliance with the relevant rules and regulations in the Isle of Man. This role involves designing, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive compliance programme and maintaining a robust understanding of the island's AML/CFT regulatory framework. The Supervisions Executive will be responsible for drafting and delivering the AML/CFT Supervisory Inspection Programme, alongside managing the scheduling and delivery of inspections. Building regulatory relationships with MLROs will be crucial, as well as promoting a strong culture of compliance through education and training initiatives. The role also includes responding to inquiries from the AML/CFT helpline, maintaining advisory logs, and supporting junior staff as required. Job Duties:

  • Design, implement, and oversee a comprehensive compliance programme and internal controls
  • Draft, maintain, and deliver the AML/CFT Supervisory Inspection Programme, including supporting documentation and reports
  • Manage the administrative requirements of scheduling and delivery of inspections
  • Familiarise with the status of each practice, services provided, and client base to apply a risk-based approach to supervision
  • Establish regulatory relationships with MLROs of each practice and maintain effective communication channels
  • Assist with the compilation of evidence and written reports for sanction or enforcement actions
  • Promote a culture of compliance through education and training for all member practices
  • Coordinate the annual Masterclass and quarterly coffee hours
  • Organise and implement online training for members, including AML/CFT and Data Security training
  • Provide support through the AML/CFT helpline and maintain an advisory log to identify key themes
  • Draft compliance content for the Society’s weekly email
  • Support and supervise junior staff as required
  • Undertake general office administrative duties

Job Requirements:

  • Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills
  • Deep understanding of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards
  • Proficiency in risk assessment, control implementation, and policy development
  • Ability to influence business practices and promote a positive, ethical environment internally and externally
