Revenue Controller

Our client is seeking a Revenue Controller to join their award-winning global Finance team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for day-to-day global revenue control and collections. This includes supporting the effective management of working capital, improving cash flow, and limiting exposure to bad debt. Our client values individuals with a solid understanding of basic accounting principles paired with excellent communication and attention to detail skills. This is an Officer level position within a leading offshore law-firm led professional services business that advises various esteemed financial institutions, corporations, public organisations, private equity houses, and ultra-high net worth individuals. Job Duties:

  • Act as the main point of contact for billing and collection matters on a day-to-day basis to maximise billing and collections.
  • Establish strong working relationships with all matter partners through regular review meetings to discuss WIP and accounts receivable balances, documenting outcomes and following up on agreed actions.
  • Ascertain when transactions will complete, the levels of fees expected, and the anticipated bill date and requirements, taking any action required to facilitate the billing process.
  • Provide detailed input to the accurate valuation of WIP/debtors on a periodic basis.
  • Perform regular and ad hoc reporting for the Group FC, RCM, partners, fee earners, and clients.
  • Ensure that global, client, and matter fee arrangements are correctly implemented and followed.
  • Ensure VAT, GST, and other local taxes are correctly reflected and accounted for.
  • Liaise with clients, intermediaries, partners, and fee earners to establish and progress account queries through to resolution.
  • Interact with a wide range of contacts at different levels, requiring an awareness of own impact on others and an adjustment of behaviour accordingly.
  • Manage client funds balances held in respect of fees and disbursements to ensure compliance with local law society rules and the relevant banks' customer due diligence and reporting requirements.
  • Undertake ad hoc duties related to e-billing platforms.

Job Requirements:

  • Solid understanding of revenue control.
  • Strong team player with the ability to lead and motivate a team of experienced finance professionals and develop effective working relationships with client-facing and support departments alike.
  • Confident and effective communicator able to work effectively at all levels within the organisation.
  • Demonstrate high levels of initiative and decision-making capability while being comfortable working within a results-driven environment with accuracy and focus.
  • Strong personal organisational and time management skills with the ability to understand and prioritise the workload of others.
