Senior Business Analyst

Our client is seeking an experienced Business Analyst with strong experience to play a key role in a large-scale, complex core banking system transformation. The successful candidate will work at the heart of the transformation, ensuring solutions are well-designed, clearly defined, and deliver meaningful outcomes. This role involves playing a central role in the delivery of a major core banking system transformation, working closely with stakeholders across the bank to understand business needs, challenges, and strategic objectives. The Business Analyst will lead the elicitation, analysis, and documentation of requirements and will translate complex business requirements into clear, structured documentation. Acting as a trusted bridge between business teams, technology teams, and delivery partners is essential, along with supporting solution design and testing activities. Additionally, the role contributes to change management, business readiness, and go-live activities, ensuring deliverables meet governance, quality, and regulatory standards expected in a financial services environment.

Job Duties:

• Play a central role in the delivery of a major core banking system transformation.
• Work closely with stakeholders across the bank to understand business needs, challenges, and strategic objectives.
• Lead the elicitation, analysis, and documentation of requirements.
• Translate complex business requirements into clear, structured documentation.
• Act as a trusted bridge between business teams, technology teams, and delivery partners.
• Support solution design activities and testing activities.
• Contribute to change management, business readiness, and go-live activities.
• Ensure deliverables meet governance, quality, and regulatory standards expected in a financial services environment.

Job Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Business Analyst within financial services.
• Strong hands-on experience.
• Experience working on complex system implementations or core banking change programmes.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to break down complex issues.
• Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Confident communicator with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders across the bank.
• Desirable: Experience working with third-party vendors or system integrators.
• Experience supporting large-scale transformation.
• Experience across multiple delivery phases (design, build, testing, implementation).
