Trainee Fund Administrator

Our client is seeking a Trainee Fund Administrator to assist with the provision of efficient, timely, and high-quality administration services to a portfolio of fund administration clients. This role involves supporting the administration of a varied portfolio of Guernsey domiciled regulated, listed, and unregulated structures. The successful candidate will aid in the preparation of capital transactions and investor communications, while also maintaining investor details. Additional responsibilities include assisting with company secretarial work, such as convening board meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes. This position also entails providing support with client due diligence for new and existing clients, as well as assisting with FATCA/CRS reporting and regulatory and statutory filings. The role will involve processing banking transactions, payment instructions, and bookkeeping under supervision. The candidate will work closely with colleagues to develop technical knowledge and industry understanding. Job Duties:

  • Assist with the administration of a varied portfolio of Guernsey domiciled regulated, listed, and unregulated structures.
  • Support the preparation of capital transactions, investor communications, and maintaining investor details.
  • Assist with company secretarial work such as convening board meetings, preparing agendas, and taking minutes.
  • Provide support with client due diligence for new and existing clients.
  • Assist with FATCA/CRS reporting.
  • Support regulatory and statutory filings.
  • Process banking transactions, payment instructions, and bookkeeping under supervision.
  • Work closely with colleagues to develop technical knowledge and industry understanding.
  • Update timesheets daily and ensure all administrative activities comply with company policies.

Job Requirements:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Willingness to study towards a relevant professional qualification (e.g., ICSA, Certificate in Fund Administration).
  • Positive attitude and eagerness to learn.
  • Sound educational background with proficiency in English and Mathematics.
  • Good interpersonal skills and able to develop strong working relationships with colleagues, clients, and intermediaries.
