Wealth Consultant

Our client is seeking a Wealth Consultant located in Jersey. The primary purpose of this role is to develop and maintain business streams while providing clients with tailored financial strategies and plans that align with their specific needs and objectives. The successful candidate will be expected to build and nurture client relationships, ensuring a steady business flow and the achievement of agreed targets. Additionally, the Wealth Consultant will play a pivotal role in promoting the business within the financial profession and the wider community. Continuous professional development is essential to meet both regulatory requirements and personal development goals. The role involves ensuring compliance with all legislative requirements and adhering to responsible business practices. The position may require flexibility in travel for client meetings, which could extend beyond office hours.

Job Duties:

  • Developing and maintaining client relationships to help ensure business continuity and meet predefined targets.
  • Fostering internal relationships to promote business flow and achieve objectives.
  • Enhancing the business profile within professional and wider communities.
  • Offering personalised financial information and advice to clients based on their individual circumstances.
  • Pursuing continuous professional development to fulfil regulatory requirements and personal growth targets, with a minimum annual commitment of 35 hours.
  • Conducting business in a compliant manner, adhering to all legislative obligations, both internally and externally.
  • Holding a relevant qualification at Level 4 or higher as per JFSC standards.
  • Developing and acquiring new financial advice business to meet targets.
  • Preparing for client meetings, encompassing technical aspects such as financial recommendations and presentations.
  • Conducting and managing client meetings effectively.
  • Compiling meeting notes and fact-finding documentation to support the Wealth Consultant's role.
  • Ensuring all client requirements are managed to their conclusion effectively.
  • Providing an ongoing review service tailored to client needs, in accordance with the business's offerings.
  • Managing individual workflow and task delivery efficiently.
  • Keeping abreast of legislative and industry changes impacting the business and its clients.
  • Being open to performing reasonable additional duties as needed to align with business needs.
  • Regular travel for client visits, which may involve working beyond standard office hours.

Job Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification at Level 4 or higher, compliant with JFSC requirements.
  • Proven experience in developing and maintaining client relationships.
  • Strong understanding of financial products and services.
  • Ability to consistently achieve business targets within defined timelines.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A commitment to continuous professional development and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Adaptability in managing a diverse range of tasks and responsibilities.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as needed.
