Senior Accountant, Governance Services

Our client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their expanding Governance Services team. In this role, the successful candidate will work across a varied and interesting portfolio of clients, preparing and reviewing complex financial statements while building trusted relationships and ensuring the delivery of consistently high-quality service. Job Duties:

  • Prepare and review financial statements in accordance with FRS 102, IFRS, and UK GAAP.
  • Coach and mentor junior team members.
  • Prepare various management accounts and reports.
  • Generate periodic reports, capital account statements, and net asset valuations.
  • Manage the audit process and provide necessary information for clients.
  • Build and develop relationships with clients, auditors, and third-party service providers.
  • Manage the preparation, review, and submission of FATCA and CRS returns.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date accounting records in client entity databases.
  • Ensure a detailed understanding of transactions and liaise with your line manager regularly.
  • Collaborate with client administration and colleagues to resolve accounting queries, providing explanations and support as needed.
  • Ensure consistency of accounting service levels across all clients and promptly address any identified issues.
  • Maintain awareness of the integration of Governance Services across jurisdictions and with the law firm, working in a unified, consistent, and coordinated manner.

Job Requirements:

  • Must hold "Entitled" or "Entitled to Work" status in Jersey, Channel Islands.
  • Ideally part-qualified ACCA/ACA, currently studying, or qualified by relevant experience with good up-to-date technical knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and US GAAP, including practical application.
  • Previous experience with accounting systems, particularly Viewpoint, QuickBooks, and/or Yardi would be advantageous.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Excel.
  • A positive and flexible approach.
  • An aptitude for data analysis and problem-solving.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A professional, proactive, and service-oriented approach.
  • Real estate experience would be an added advantage.
