Payroll Administrator

Our client is seeking a Payroll Administrator to manage a diverse portfolio of client payrolls, processing them on a monthly or weekly basis as required. The successful candidate will be responsible for collating timesheets and payroll records, inputting them into the payroll system, calculating pay for the period, and preparing payroll reports for review and approval. In addition, you will provide clients with relevant payroll reports and payslips promptly, update and maintain employee information, and ensure all essential information is collected for each payroll client and their employees. The role will also require filing returns within specified timeframes and responding to client queries in a timely manner. As a senior member of the team, you may assist with general administration and contribute to the development of the payroll service line. Job Duties:

  • Process a portfolio of client payrolls, including:
  • Collation of timesheets and payroll records
  • Inputting timesheets into the payroll system
  • Calculating pay for the period
  • Preparing payroll reports for review and approval
  • Providing clients with relevant payroll reports and payslips in a timely manner
  • Updating and maintaining client employee information
  • Ensuring all necessary information is gathered for payroll clients and employees
  • Filing relevant returns within required timeframes
  • Respond to client queries efficiently
  • Assist with general team administration as capacity allows
  • Contribute to the development of the payroll service line

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to handle confidential information
  • Knowledge of current payroll legislation and statutory regulations in the Channel Islands
  • Team player with the capability to work independently and proactively
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, planning, and organising skills
  • Proficient in problem solving and analytical thinking
  • PC literate with a good working knowledge of Windows and payroll software
  • Previous experience in an office environment, processing payroll, would be desirable
