Senior Associate, Risk, Regulation & Fintech

Our client is seeking a Senior Associate to join their Risk, Regulation and Fintech team in Guernsey. This full-time role requires an individual with a minimum of three years' experience within the financial services sector. The position focuses on providing regulatory advice and solutions, ensuring clients adhere to regulatory requirements while effectively managing risks. The successful candidate will also play a crucial role in developing compliance strategies, navigating complex regulatory landscapes, and enhancing internal controls for various clients. Collaboration will be essential, as the associate will work closely with both internal teams and senior client management. Furthermore, there will be ample opportunities for input into strategic initiatives and direct contributions to the management of the practice. Job Duties:

  • Engage with a diverse range of clients, delivering tailored services to meet specific needs.
  • Complete various assignments collaboratively within project teams.
  • Develop client project deliverables and contribute to the creation of proposal documents.
  • Build and maintain relationships both internally across the organisation and with external senior client management.
  • Support leadership and management teams in driving the Advisory growth agenda.
  • Maintain in-depth industry experience and expertise while remaining updated on new regulations in Jersey and/or Guernsey.
  • Assist clients in improving business performance and extracting value from transactions.
  • Coach and support the development of junior team members.

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum of three years’ experience in financial services.
  • Strong knowledge of financial services regulatory frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Technologically minded with a willingness to learn new skills.
  • Ability to lead self and demonstrate a problem-solving mentality.
  • Proficiency in preparing and reviewing reports on technical subject matter.
  • Comfortable mentoring less experienced team members.
  • Experience working to tight deadlines and managing multiple stakeholders.
  • Competence in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.).
