Our client, a fast-growing team based in Jersey, is seeking a dynamic Senior Administrator with extensive experience in administering an international portfolio. The successful candidate will play an integral role in the Funds & Corporate Services team, handling all aspects of fund administration at a senior level. This includes valuations, timely processing, and developing internal procedures, as well as ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. The Senior Administrator will provide support to the Funds & Corporate Services Manager and will also mentor junior team members, providing necessary training and guidance. Job Duties:
- Administer a specific client base of funds, management companies, and associated fund structures
- Liaise with clients, investors, and connected parties as the first point of contact
- Prepare draft minutes and resolutions for entities under management, including companies, fund structures, and trusts
- Co-ordinate client board meetings and assist with onboarding new client entities
- Set up client bank accounts and provide advice and support to junior members of the team
- Act as an authorised signatory and ensure timely regulatory reporting to the JFSC
- Prepare general correspondence for clients and connected parties
- Process investor changes/transfers and maintain accurate investor records
- Assist in tax reporting and filing as appropriate and ensure completion of compliance deliverables
- Recognise potential problems or risks and report them accordingly
- Adhere to internal processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with legal, ethical, and regulatory requirements
- Maintain good working relationships with colleagues and other departments
- Stay up to date with developments in fund services and products
- Manage ad-hoc projects impacting clients and the team, as well as complete time entry in the billing system
- Prepare client invoices and ensure timely settlement of fees
- Complete any other duties required in accordance with the role's demands
Job Requirements:
- Strong financial services experience with in-depth knowledge of the legal and regulatory requirements concerning funds
- Holds or is pursuing a relevant professional qualification
- Good numeracy skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word at an intermediate level
- Comfortable with technology and adaptable to bespoke systems and banking platforms
- Attention to detail and a proactive approach to work
- Ability to work independently using initiative and as part of a professional team
- Strong commitment to service delivery and organisational effectiveness
