Bookkeeper

An independent medium-sized Chartered Accountancy practice located in Douglas, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join its thriving general accountancy practice and corporate service provider. This role is pivotal to the organisation's operations and is designed for candidates looking to contribute significantly to a busy environment. The position may be available on a part-time basis, with flexible hours considered to accommodate a work-life balance.

Job Duties:

  • Manage general bookkeeping for client entities and trusts
  • Process basic payroll functions
  • Conduct bank account and loan account reconciliations
  • Prepare and submit VAT returns
  • Facilitate online banking transfers
  • Maintain accurate filing systems
  • Undertake ad-hoc tasks as required

Job Requirements:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar bookkeeping role
  • Proficiency in VT Transactions or similar bookkeeping systems and Excel
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A professional and positive approach to work
  • Ability to collaborate as part of a team and work independently
