Our client is seeking an Accounts Administrator to join their team in the Isle of Man. This full-time position requires the individual to work core hours from 9.00am to 5.30pm, Monday to Friday, totalling 37.5 hours per week. The successful candidate will play a vital role in delivering accurate and efficient financial assistance to the business. This position involves close collaboration with other departments to resolve discrepancies and ensure adherence to internal controls and compliance standards. Additionally, the role will contribute to process improvement and automation initiatives. The individual may also be required to provide ad-hoc administrative and financial support as needed.
Job Duties:
- Process day-to-day bills and supplier invoices, along with general ledger postings.
- Liaise with team members regarding billing, payments, and invoice processing.
- Be responsible for data entry of financial transactions, ensuring compliance with client requirements.
- Ensure the accurate application of Advocates Accounts rules and FSA rules in relation to client money.
- Assist with month-end and year-end close down processes.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries related to payments and invoices.
- Assist the Head of Finance and Senior Finance Manager with the accounting system setup and operation.
- Provide ad-hoc administrative support and reporting to the Head of Finance and Senior Accounts Manager.
- Assist with projects and initiatives as required, in line with the Finance team's needs.
- Conduct internal bank, client bank, and credit card reconciliations.
Job Requirements:
- A proactive individual with strong administrative skills and excellent communication abilities.
- Minimum of 3-4 years’ relevant accounts administrative experience, ideally within a professional services environment.
- High attention to detail with strong organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and manage competing priorities effectively.
- A team-oriented individual with a proactive, self-motivated attitude and an eagerness to learn.
