This role involves the execution of all risk management activities and requirements, including business, regulatory, and market conduct, as well as associated processes and procedures. The successful candidates will implement and embed risk prevention and mitigation frameworks to avoid potential breaches and losses while upholding client experience standards. They will continuously provide business insights into their risk profile, ensuring proactive management of potential risks. This position is not open to relocation or sponsorship; only residents of Jersey are eligible to apply. Candidates should possess a minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience in operational risk, compliance, and/or audits, particularly within the Correspondent Banking and High Net Worth (CHNW) sector.
Job Duties:
- Analyse and provide actionable quality management feedback to relevant stakeholders within the agreed turnaround times, communicating trends, gaps, findings, recommendations, and all other agreed reporting requirements.
- Assist relevant leaders by providing input into the Business Continuity Plan, including updating staff details and recovery team information.
- Coach local market CHNW teams on risk and compliance to address identified gaps.
- Conduct control validation reviews as per the plan, including effectiveness assessments and operational effectiveness testing, to oversee and report on operational hygiene and control environments regarding risk and compliance.
- Ensure adherence to policy standards and that processes are followed according to established criteria.
- Co-ordinate all incident management, risk reporting, risk event breach reporting, and adherence to Delegation of Authority (DOAs).
Job Requirements:
- First Degree in Business Commerce.
- A minimum of 3 to 4 years of experience in operational risk, compliance, and/or audits.
- Deep knowledge of operational risk and compliance matters, with expertise in risk remediation.
- Experience in change management, particularly within large rollouts and initiatives.
- Strong analytical skills for evaluating risk management effectiveness.
- Proficiency in financial acumen and risk identification techniques.
