Contract Business Development Assistant - 5 months

This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and forward-thinking individual to join an ambitious Business Development and Marketing team on a fixed-term contract for five months. The successful candidate will demonstrate effective organisation and communication skills, along with commercial awareness and a willingness to embrace change. In return, this role offers the chance to broaden business development and event skills through hands-on experience in a dynamic environment. The assistant will be involved in implementing business development and marketing plans, supporting legal directory submissions, and delivering external events that promote the business development initiatives. Additionally, responsibilities will include organising logistical aspects of events, supporting lawyers in preparation for business development trips, using a CRM system for data management, and collaborating with colleagues to coordinate activities that align with business objectives.

Job Duties:

  • Assist in the implementation of business development and marketing plans
  • Support the delivery of legal directory submissions
  • Help deliver external events supporting business development and marketing initiatives
  • Organise operational and logistical aspects of events in collaboration with the team
  • Support lawyers in preparation for business development trips and post-trip follow-ups
  • Use the CRM system to capture, process, and report on relevant data
  • Assist with the delivery of pitching initiatives
  • Collaborate with local and global marketing colleagues to coordinate activities

Job Requirements:

  • Working knowledge of business development, marketing activities, and events
  • Demonstrated enthusiasm and proactivity
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines
  • Proficient with main Microsoft applications
  • Proven ability to develop excellent working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
  • Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills
