Supervising Accountant, Accounting & Control

This role involves providing comprehensive support to the Central Finance department, with a particular emphasis on accounting, financial reporting, and analysis. The position requires accurate and timely processing of financial transactions, as well as the maintenance of the general ledger. The Accountant will also be responsible for delivering detailed analysis to aid decision-making. Candidates should expect to engage actively in the month-end close process, oversee billing cycles for operational entities, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver financial expertise. Job Duties:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with accounting principles and organisational policies.
  • Manage the data input of bookkeepers within the group.
  • Oversee the month-end close process, including preparation of journal entries, reviewing reconciliations, and financial statements.
  • Prepare and analyse financial statements and reports, including Profit and Loss (P&L) statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Play a key role in the periodic billing cycles for the operational entities.
  • Provide support for the annual budgeting process and ongoing forecasting.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial expertise and support.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory reporting requirements and internal controls.
  • Analyse financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist in the coordination of audits and compliance activities.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders to provide financial expertise and support.

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4-6 years’ relevant experience.
  • Educated to A Levels standard or equivalent.
  • Attainment of a relevant professional qualification, such as ACCA, ICA or equivalent.
  • Experience with financial reporting and analysis.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Capability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to build morale and team spirit and act as an ambassador of the group’s values.
