Regional Financial Controller

The role of Regional Financial Controller involves supporting the Regional Finance Lead in driving financial control, ensuring reporting integrity, and providing commercial insight across multiple entities within the region. This position requires a combination of strong technical accounting expertise and business partnering responsibilities. The successful individual will lead and coordinate monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes while ensuring the accuracy of the Profit and Loss accounts, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow statements. The role also encompasses compliance with accounting standards, oversight of multiple entities, and in-depth financial analysis. Mentoring team members and driving process improvements are key responsibilities in this position. Applicants should have significant experience in multinational environments, ideally with exposure to relevant accounting frameworks.

Job Duties:

• Lead and coordinate the monthly, quarterly, and year-end close processes
• Ensure accuracy of P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow
• Review accruals, prepayments, provisions, and intercompany balances
• Provide clear variance analysis with actionable insights
• Ensure compliance with IFRS and internal policies
• Review complex accounting areas and maintain balance sheet integrity
• Act as deputy to the Regional Finance Lead
• Oversee multiple entities and ensure consistency
• Provide high-quality financial commentary to management
• Support budgeting and forecasting cycles
• Monitor key metrics and performance drivers
• Drive standardisation and efficiency in processes

Job Requirements:

• Qualified Accountant (CA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
• 5–8+ years relevant experience
• Experience in multinational environments
• Strong Excel and ERP system knowledge
• Analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
• Working within a multicurrency environment would be beneficial
