Senior Client Accountant

The role of the Senior Client Accountant presents an excellent opportunity for individuals pursuing an Accounting qualification. This position involves the daily management of a small portfolio of clients, as well as providing oversight and assistance to junior team members when appropriate. The successful candidate will be working in a collaborative and dynamic environment, efficiently engaging with both clients and their advisers to deliver a personalised service. The role encompasses the preparation of financial statements, ad-hoc reporting, and liaising with clients and professional representatives on accounting-related matters. Furthermore, the incumbent will contribute to fostering an atmosphere of professionalism and teamwork while actively seeking to develop their own skills and knowledge. The role is set within a fast-paced environment that values open communication and collaboration.

Job Duties:

  • Prepare a small portfolio of financial statements.
  • Assist junior team members in resolving simple queries.
  • Prepare ad-hoc reporting, including management accounts, loan interest schedules, and asset statements.
  • Work closely with the team to provide necessary support.
  • Liaise with clients and their professional representatives regarding accounting matters as required.
  • Build team morale by championing the company’s values and promoting professionalism, teamwork, and leadership.
  • Identify and pursue personal development opportunities to enhance knowledge and skills.

Job Requirements:

  • Part ACCA qualified.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in trust and company accounts preparation.
  • Experience with IFRS, FRS 102, and FRS 102 Section 1A accounts.
  • Ability to prepare accounts of a moderately simple nature for trusts and companies.
  • Excellent numeracy and computer skills, especially in spreadsheet applications.
  • Highly organised and detail-oriented professional.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A positive ‘can do’ attitude and ability to meet deadlines.
