Senior Fund Accountant x 3

This role involves ensuring the accurate bookkeeping of all assigned Irish fund structures and preparing quarterly reporting files necessary for regulatory reporting to the Central Bank of Ireland. Successful candidates will collaborate closely with the onshore Ireland fund accounting team while also taking the initiative to independently prepare straightforward sets of accounts and financial reports. The position offers the opportunity to deliver financial statements and varied reporting within client and regulatory timelines, while managing and resolving queries from colleagues, clients, and auditors. Exceptional client service is paramount, ensuring a positive experience throughout the fund’s entire lifecycle. Individuals in this position will also mentor junior staff and coordinate all accounting matters including regular reporting and attendance at meetings. The role requires adherence to company workflows, policies, accounting standards, and regulations, while providing constructive challenges to ensure operational efficiency.

Job Duties:

  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate bookkeeping for assigned Irish fund structures
  • Prepare quarterly reporting for regulatory requirements to the Central Bank of Ireland
  • Collaborate with the wider onshore Ireland fund accounting team
  • Independently prepare straightforward sets of accounts and financial reporting
  • Deliver financial statements and complex investor reporting within deadlines
  • Proactively manage and resolve queries from clients and their advisors
  • Provide exceptional service levels throughout the client lifecycle
  • Assist in developing client and advisor relationships with a responsive approach
  • Mentor junior staff under the supervision of senior colleagues
  • Coordinate accounting matters, including reporting and meeting attendance
  • Process and oversee routine fund accounting operations and their execution
  • Adhere to company policies, workflows, accounting standards, and regulations

Job Requirements:

  • Understanding of quality client service requirements
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a funds environment at a similar level
  • Good knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
  • Ability to foster a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
  • Deadline-oriented with a collaborative and flexible approach
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with acute attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently on tasks
  • Working towards or holding a professional qualification as a chartered accountant (ACA/ACCA)
