Marketing Manager

Our client is a fast-growing digital marketing agency based in Jersey, specialising in social media management, content creation, and paid advertising. They are seeking an experienced Marketing Manager to lead social media strategy, manage key client accounts, improve content performance, and support the development of their growing social media team. This full-time position offers a unique opportunity to influence and execute robust marketing strategies that drive measurable business outcomes. This strategic and hands-on role entails managing large client accounts while ensuring that their social media activities are aligned with commercial objectives and delivered to a high standard. You will work closely with senior management and social media coordinators to create a clear social media direction and ensure strong content output that meets clients’ goals.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Develop clear social media strategies for client accounts.
  • Create 12-month social media plans aligned with client goals, campaigns, and wider marketing objectives.
  • Translate business objectives into practical content strategies.
  • Identify key content pillars, campaign themes, messaging angles, and posting structures.
  • Ensure each client’s social media activity has a clear purpose and direction.
  • Stay abreast of platform changes, social media trends, and emerging content formats.
  • Provide strategic guidance across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and other relevant platforms.
  • Manage a portfolio of key client accounts, including larger and higher-value clients.
  • Act as a senior point of contact for clients on social media strategy, content performance, and campaign direction.
  • Lead client calls and meetings confidently, clearly explaining social media activity, results, recommendations, and next steps.
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with clients.
  • Understand each client’s industry, audience, brand, goals, and commercial priorities.
  • Ensure client expectations are managed professionally and deadlines are consistently met.
  • Lead monthly and quarterly content planning across assigned client accounts.
  • Create and oversee content calendars, campaign plans, and creative concepts.
  • Work closely with social media coordinators to ensure content is well organised, on-brand, and strategically aligned.
  • Brief the creative team on content requirements, campaign ideas, and visual direction.
  • Ensure content production is efficient, organised, and delivered to a high standard.
  • Review and approve content before it is sent to clients or published.
  • Identify opportunities to improve content quality, consistency, and performance.
  • Bring strong creative judgement to client campaigns.
  • Create high-quality social media graphics using Canva and other design tools.
  • Support content ideation, campaign messaging, and visual direction.
  • Write strong captions, content briefs, hooks, and social media copy.
  • Guide video, photography, and design output confidently.
  • Be comfortable supporting shoots, directing content capture, and appearing on camera as required.
  • Monitor and analyse social media performance across client accounts.
  • Review key metrics including reach, engagement, follower growth, traffic, leads, conversions, and content performance.
  • Identify areas for improvement and recommend actions based on analysis.
  • Use reporting insights to enhance future content plans and campaign strategy.
  • Help clients understand performance clearly and practically.
  • Support the development of junior social media coordinators by offering training and guidance.
  • Set an example in organisation, communication, creativity, and attention to detail.
  • Review junior team members’ work, providing constructive feedback.
  • Contribute to a positive, ambitious team culture.
  • Lead planning for professional content shoots across assigned client accounts.
  • Create and oversee shot lists, content briefs, schedules, and shoot objectives.
  • Ensure content captured aligns with the client’s strategy and monthly content plan.
  • Support clients and production teams throughout the shoot process.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in social media management, content marketing, or a similar role.
  • Proven experience managing social media accounts for businesses or brands.
  • Strong understanding of major platforms including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok.
  • Experience in creating social media strategies and long-term content plans.
  • Confidence leading client calls, meetings, and presentations.
  • Strong written communication and copywriting skills.
  • Good graphic design experience, particularly using Canva or similar tools.
  • Strong creative judgement and understanding of content performance.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data for performance improvement.
  • Experience tracking KPIs and translating reporting insights into recommendations.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills.
  • Ability to efficiently manage multiple client accounts and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Confidence briefing creative teams and coordinating content production.
  • Experience mentoring or managing junior team members is highly beneficial.
  • Agency experience is beneficial but not essential.
