Social Media Manager

This role involves leading social media strategy and managing key client accounts within a fast-growing digital marketing agency located in Jersey. The position is full-time and encompasses a range of responsibilities including social media management, content creation, and performance analysis. The Social Media Manager will work alongside directors and coordinators to ensure that client social media activities are not only well-planned and creatively strong but also aligned with commercial goals. With a focus on strategic development, the manager will oversee larger client accounts and ensure that content promotes measurable business impact. The ideal candidate will possess at least five years of experience in social media management and will be adept at advising clients, developing content strategies, and leading a team.

Job Duties:

  • Develop clear social media strategies for client accounts
  • Create 12-month social media plans aligned with client goals and campaigns
  • Translate business objectives into practical content strategies
  • Identify key content pillars, campaign themes, and posting structures
  • Manage a portfolio of key accounts, acting as the senior contact for clients
  • Lead client calls and meetings, discussing social media strategies and performance
  • Create and oversee content calendars and campaign plans
  • Work closely with the creative team to ensure high-quality content production
  • Monitor and analyse performance metrics across client accounts
  • Support and mentor junior team members in social media best practices
  • Lead planning for professional content shoots and coordinate schedules

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of five years’ experience in social media management or content marketing
  • Proven experience managing social media accounts for various brands
  • Strong understanding of major platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn
  • Excellent written communication and copywriting skills
  • Proficient in graphic design, particularly using Canva
  • Strong analytical mindset to interpret data and improve performance
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • Experience mentoring junior team members is advantageous
