This role offers the opportunity to join a dynamic and growing corporate service provider as a Client Bookkeeper. The successful candidate will have proven bookkeeping experience and will be responsible for maintaining accurate bookkeeping records for a portfolio of clients. Key duties include processing and reconciling bank accounts, investments, debtors, creditors, and intercompany balances, as well as preparing financial records and accounting schedules up to the trial balance stage. The role requires excellent communication skills, as collaboration with the Accounting, Tax, and Client Services teams is essential. Job Duties:
- Maintain accurate bookkeeping records for a portfolio of clients.
- Process and reconcile bank accounts, investments, debtors, creditors, and intercompany balances.
- Prepare financial records and accounting schedules up to the trial balance stage.
- Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Prepare accounting working papers and supporting schedules to facilitate the preparation of financial statements.
- Contribute to building a strong operational foundation within the Client Accounts team.
- Liaise with accountants and other team members to ensure client deadlines are met and work is delivered to a high standard.
- Identify and escalate any accounting issues or unusual transactions requiring further review.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy, organisation, and record keeping.
Job Requirements:
- Proven bookkeeping experience within a corporate service provider, accountancy practice, or similar.
- Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping principles.
- Confidence in preparing accounting records, comprehensive working papers, and supporting schedules.
- Sound knowledge of accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate and high-quality work.
- Strong organisational and time management skills, with the ability to take ownership of workloads and deadlines.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, proactive, and able to work independently while contributing positively to a collaborative team environment.
