Job Duties:
- Lead the Risk Team within the Risk Function to facilitate the identification, management, escalation, and mitigation of risk incidents.
- Oversee the quality and timeliness of root cause analyses conducted by the first line, ensuring remediation actions are completed on time.
- Ensure practical implementation of the company's risk management framework across all lines of business.
- Support the business in executing additional duties as required.
- Maintain oversight of operational risk and embed the operational risk management framework within the organisation.
- Manage the implementation of internal risk frameworks and related policy processes.
- Provide comprehensive reporting on the organisation's position against Key Risk Indicators and Key Performance Indicators outlined in the Risk Appetite.
- Deliver an annual opinion on adherence to company policy and risk culture.
- Aid in the development of the Risk Function across the group.
- Uphold and maintain the Risk Register within the risk management application.
- Lead the annual Operational Risk and Control Assessment and report findings to the Board.
Job Requirements:
- Ideally, at least 5 years' experience in risk-focused roles, preferably in the financial industry.
- Experience in line management is desirable.
- Excellent knowledge of financial products and industry best practices.
- Familiarity with risk and governance frameworks, methodologies, and emerging practices.
- Operational knowledge in a risk-related environment.
- Proficiency with relevant Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Risk Management systems.
- Strong analytical capabilities.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent time management, organisational, and prioritisation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships across all levels and functions.
- Displays integrity, ethics, honesty, and strong decision-making skills.
- Comfortable working in high-pressure environments with ambitious deadlines.
