Financial Data Analyst

The role of Financial Data Analyst involves the implementation of data management standards to ensure data quality, lifecycle management, metadata, and data privacy. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the business in comprehending how data is collected, stored, utilised, and deleted. This role requires a commitment to maintaining data governance frameworks while operating within a highly collaborative environment. The position is full-time and located in Jersey, and it is essential that applicants are eligible to work in the jurisdiction as no relocation or sponsorship is offered. With a focus on data governance principles, the analyst will work closely with various stakeholders to manage information risk, drive adherence to compliance requirements, and educate internal teams about effective data management practices.

Job Duties:

  • Implement data and information management operating standards including data quality and protection.
  • Support the business in understanding data utilisation through analytical tools and methodologies.
  • Drive adherence to the Data Governance Framework and escalate compliance issues.
  • Articulate the value of data in business processes to help stakeholders understand its significance.
  • Execute change management programmes to educate on data management and governance.
  • Establish data quality rules and metrics to ensure consistency across data elements.
  • Report on data-related information risks while collaborating with other risk partners.

Job Requirements:

  • First Degree in Engineering Sciences or Information Technology.
  • 3 - 4 years of experience in data analysis and management.
  • Understanding of data structures and how data moves between systems.
  • Familiarity with data lifecycle management and related regulatory standards.
  • Experience with data security and quality, as well as compliance risk management.
  • Good problem-solving skills and knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle.
  • Competence in articulating and documenting information clearly and effectively.
