Financial Manager

This role involves overseeing the financial operations of a dynamic firm specialising in performance-based advertising within regulated industries. The successful candidate will be based in the Douglas office and will be responsible for managing all accounting operations, including billing, accounts receivable/payable, general ledger, and revenue recognition. They will prepare timely financial reports on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis while maintaining internal controls in compliance with accounting standards. The role includes monitoring cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting processes. Furthermore, the Financial Controller will liaise with external auditors and tax advisors, manage essential relationships with banks, and oversee financial systems to recommend improvements where necessary. Job Duties:

• Manage all accounting operations including billing, accounts receivable/payable, general ledger, and revenue recognition.
• Prepare timely monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reports.
• Maintain internal controls and ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards.
• Monitor cash flow, budgeting, and forecasting processes.
• Liaise with external auditors, tax advisors, and corporate service providers.
• Maintain relationships with banks and oversee financial systems.
• Recommend improvements to financial processes as necessary.

Job Requirements:

• Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial controller or a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and financial reporting.
• Proficient in accounting software (e.g. QuickBooks) and Excel.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining high levels of accuracy under pressure.
