Trainee Operations

This full-time position is an excellent opportunity for a driven and talented individual to join a dedicated and professional team in Guernsey. The role involves a variety of essential duties that contribute to the smooth operation of the organisation. Responsibilities include managing the central mailbox, sorting and escalating emails as necessary, and running weekly timesheet reports. The successful candidate will prepare bookkeeping with a solid understanding of the company’s analysis codes and assist in the preparation of quarterly management accounts and annual financial statements. In addition, they will help with the client billing process by preparing all client invoices and details on a quarterly basis. Performance will also involve reconciliations of billing schedules and client invoicing trackers, preparation of all regulatory and statutory filings to a high standard, and the creation of monthly payment packs and ad-hoc payments. Furthermore, the role requires tracking and preparing expenses for the senior management team and providing operational support, including front of house and reception cover.

Job Duties:

  • Managing the central mailbox, sorting and escalating emails as necessary
  • Running weekly timesheet reports
  • Preparing bookkeeping with an understanding of the company’s analysis codes
  • Assisting with the preparation of quarterly management accounts and annual financial statements
  • Assisting with the client billing process, including preparing all client invoices and details on a quarterly basis
  • Performing reconciliations of billing schedules and client invoicing trackers
  • Assisting in the preparation of all regulatory and statutory filings to a high standard
  • Preparing monthly payment packs and ad-hoc payments
  • Tracking and preparing expenses for the senior management team
  • Assisting with company-wide projects
  • Providing front of house and reception cover along with other operational support for the business
  • Assisting with any other ad-hoc duties as requested

Job Requirements:

  • This is an entry-level role; no prior knowledge in this field is expected
  • Educated to at least ‘A’ level standard or equivalent, preferably
