Contract Retail Sales Consultant - Until 31/12/2026

This contract role as a Retail Sales Consultant will be based in the retail store on the Isle of Man, offering 30 hours of work per week, scheduled from Monday to Saturday, with one day off during the week. The position is available until 31 December 2026. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering an efficient and professional sales and support service to customers seeking information, purchasing assistance, and after-sales support across a comprehensive range of mobile and residential solutions. Key duties include helping customers with their needs, providing clear information, and ensuring all customers leave satisfied with their services. The consultant will also demonstrate and sell products, provide ongoing support, assist in training new team members, and contribute to personal and team sales targets. Availability during key trading periods, such as the Christmas season and local events, is expected to meet the demands of the role. Compliance with regulatory rules, data protection laws, and health and safety responsibilities will also be key aspects of the position.

Job Duties:

  • Arrive at work in ample time for daily staff briefings before the store opens.
  • Provide an efficient and professional sales service for all customers.
  • Strive for customer excellence at all times, greeting customers with a smile.
  • Ensure every customer leaves with their needs met or with a clear understanding of the ongoing process.
  • Demonstrate and sell products from the mobile and residential services portfolio.
  • Provide ongoing support for all products and services through various communication channels.
  • Assist in training new members of the retail team when required.
  • Process all orders and meet set targets.
  • Maintain awareness of commercial requirements and retail department goals.
  • Be prepared to work selected Thursday evenings and Sunday shifts during the Christmas trading period and during local events such as the Isle of Man TT and Manx Grand Prix.
  • Comply with all licence, regulatory, and data protection rules.
  • Attend security awareness training and adhere to information security responsibilities.
