AEOI Manager

The AEOI Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring compliance with global tax reporting obligations, specifically focusing on FATCA and CRS as part of the Automatic Exchange of Information framework. This full-time position, located in the Isle of Man, involves managing the end-to-end AEOI reporting processes, addressing technical inquiries, and implementing technology solutions for enhanced efficiency. Key responsibilities include ensuring the implementation of AEOI policies in accordance with local and international regulations and performing data validation and quality assurance checks for accurate reporting. The successful candidate will prepare necessary AEOI compliance reports and manage annual reporting processes to tax authorities. Additionally, this role requires expert collaboration with various stakeholders and developing comprehensive training materials to educate internal teams. A blend of compliance expertise, project management skills, as well as hands-on experience in technology solutions in the financial services sector, is essential.

Job Duties:

  • Ensure AEOI policies and procedures are adhered to, in line with local and international regulations.
  • Perform data validation, quality assurance, and reconciliation checks for accurate reporting.
  • Prepare reports, certifications, and related documentation for AEOI compliance.
  • Manage the annual AEOI reporting process for FATCA and CRS, ensuring timely submissions to tax authorities.
  • Maintain an in-depth understanding of AEOI regulations and their application in fiduciary services.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert for AEOI-related queries, guiding reporting obligations.
  • Liaise with internal teams and external stakeholders, ensuring accurate data collection and reporting.
  • Collaborate with technology teams to automate and streamline the AEOI reporting processes.
  • Support the development and implementation of reporting technology solutions aligned with global tax regulatory requirements.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with AEOI reporting, establishing robust internal controls.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Tax, Law, or a related field; an advanced degree or professional certification is preferred.
  • Proven experience in fiduciary services in managerial roles, with a minimum of 5 years in AEOI reporting or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of AEOI, FATCA, CRS, and other global tax reporting frameworks.
  • Experience with tax reporting software and automation tools.
  • Proficient in data analytics, manipulation, and validation using Excel, SQL, or similar tools.
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate technical details succinctly.
  • Ability to work well in a team and to share best practices while coaching others.
