Contract FATCA / CRS Analyst - 6 Months

This role involves a temporary six-month contract focusing on the retrospective review of client records to ensure compliance with the Common Reporting Standard (CRS) and Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) regulations. The successful candidate will be responsible for validating the accuracy, completeness, and reasonableness of client self-certifications. Duties will include conducting detailed assessments of customer documentation, identifying remediation requirements, and engaging with internal stakeholders to support regulatory reporting obligations. The role entails maintaining accurate records and ensuring tax residency information is current. The analyst will apply CRS due diligence procedures to determine account reportability and initiate remediation activities for non-compliant records. This position demands a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work within established regulatory frameworks.

Job Duties:

  • Perform retrospective reviews of individual and entity client accounts as part of the CRS remediation programme
  • Assess existing self-certification forms for validity, completeness, and compliance
  • Validate client tax residency information against supporting documents and account records
  • Identify missing, invalid, or contradictory self-certifications and initiate remediation
  • Ensure adherence to OECD CRS and local regulatory obligations
  • Review entity classifications and escalate potential reporting inaccuracies
  • Evaluate customer information from onboarding and KYC processes
  • Maintain accurate case management records and prepare management information reports

Job Requirements:

  • Essential experience in Banking or Financial Services
  • Working knowledge of FATCA and CRS regulations
  • Experience with client due diligence and KYC documentation
  • Understanding of tax residency concepts and regulatory reporting
  • Strong analytical and investigative skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational capabilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and data analysis tools
