Our client is looking for an experienced HR Manager to lead human resources responsibilities and activities within the organisation. This full-time position is based in Jersey and focuses on managing recruitment processes, employee relations, regulatory compliance, health and safety, as well as training and development initiatives. The role is integral to ensuring that the organisation adheres to all relevant standards and regulations while enhancing the lives of individuals with disabilities. In this role, you will manage various HR functions, oversee the development and implementation of HR initiatives, and maintain accurate employee records. Your involvement will extend to facilitating recruitment efforts, providing essential training, and supporting the organisation's overall human resources strategy. JOB DUTIES:
- Ensure legal compliance in all areas relating to human resources and health and safety, supporting the organisation to meet all relevant standards and regulations.
- Support the development and implementation of HR initiatives and systems.
- Update and develop required policies and procedures.
- Be actively involved in recruitment by preparing job descriptions, posting adverts, conducting interviews, making job offers, reference checking, and managing the hiring process.
- Assist the CEO with succession planning and business continuity planning.
- Conduct required disciplinary or grievance investigations.
- Maintain accurate employee records.
- Facilitate colleague training and development.
- Support managers with performance and capability management.
- Coordinate support with colleague appraisals and reviews such as return-to-work interviews or exit interviews.
- Be a brand ambassador for the organisation, embodying its values and mission.
- Maintain a positive workplace culture.
- Undertake any other duties necessary for the successful operations of the organisation.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Proven experience as an HR manager, officer, administrator, or in a similar HR position.
- Completed CIPD Level 3 qualification.
- Knowledge of HR functions including pay and benefits, recruitment, training, and development.
- Understanding of employment and health and safety laws and disciplinary procedures.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Outstanding organisational and time-management abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Problem-solving and decision-making aptitude.
- Strong ethics and reliability.
- Excellent record-keeping skills.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to work comfortably under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
