Onboarding Adviser Senior Associate

This role involves enhancing the effectiveness and efficiency of the client onboarding experience by serving as the primary liaison between various engagement teams, clients, and the KYC Operations team. The position constitutes a full-time commitment of 37.5 hours per week. The Onboarding Adviser is responsible for facilitating clear communication and managing stakeholder expectations, which includes streamlining the collection of KYC information and ensuring compliance with all client and engagement procedural requirements. This position demands a strong understanding of AML/CFT policies as well as client acceptance procedures. The advisor will respond effectively to AML-related queries, guide clients through the KYC process, and act as a conduit between the KYC Operations Team and clients. Furthermore, this position requires ownership of time tracking to ensure accurate reporting for management purposes.

Job Duties:

  • Respond effectively to all AML-related queries regarding procedures, policy, and systems for KYC.
  • Communicate with engagement teams to keep them updated on onboarding status, escalating issues as necessary and proactively solving problems.
  • Assist clients and engagement teams throughout the KYC process by obtaining necessary documentation to satisfy AML requirements.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for the KYC Operations team regarding queries or outreach on a KYC profile, ensuring outreach is only conducted when necessary.
  • Ensure time spent on onboarding work is accurately charged to relevant WBS codes.

Job Requirements:

  • Understanding of KYC, the financial regulatory environment, and AML risk implications.
  • Familiarity with legal structures of various client types.
  • Experience in managing client relationships, client risk, or in AML or KYC roles.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with diverse teams.
  • Confident in escalating issues when necessary and holding oneself accountable for output.
  • Desirable skills include knowledge of compliance monitoring processes, quality standards, and experience with complex regulatory conditions.
  • Strong communicator, capable of influencing change and proposing digital solutions to problems.
