JOB DUTIES:

  • You will work with the Finance Team to prepare monthly or quarterly management accounts, including commentary, as well as semi-annual and annual regulatory returns.
  • You will prepare statutory accounts and serve as the key contact for external auditors, ensuring that audits are completed within agreed timescales.
  • You will undertake the preparation of Isle of Man tax returns and Insurance Premium Tax (IPT) returns.
  • You will review and monitor cash levels on a regular basis.
  • You will liaise with the Isle of Man Financial Services Authority (IOMFSA) and shareholder representatives when necessary.
  • You will prepare additional key management information for clients, including regular forecasts, annual budgeting, and ad-hoc solvency calculations.
  • With support when required, you will advise senior management on the financial impact of decisions and present financial information at Board level.
  • You will contribute to the development of financial systems and processes.
  • You will participate in regulatory and accounting standards-driven projects as required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • You should enjoy working in a fast-paced professional environment and take pride in delivering excellent client service.
  • You must be professionally qualified (or time-served for the right candidate).
  • You should have day-to-day, firsthand experience of producing management and statutory accounts.
  • You must be able to work to client and regulatory deadlines, organising various stakeholders effectively.
  • You should possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in insurance or risk management would be advantageous but is not essential.
  • Experience working in a regulated or professional services environment is also desirable.
  • Exposure to Board or senior management reporting is preferred.
