Manager Non-Life Insurance, Prudential Supervision Division

Our client is seeking a Manager – Non-Life Insurance to join their Prudential Supervision Division. This role is based on the Isle of Man and offers a full-time position of thirty-seven hours per week. You will be a vital part of a diverse team overseeing a sector that manages assets amounting to billions of pounds and supervises over a hundred regulated entities. The primary focus of this role is to leverage your extensive industry experience in operational, actuarial, compliance, assurance, risk, or audit functions. You will also need a solid understanding of the Non-Life Insurance sector, including relevant legislation and regulations. This position allows you to contribute to the Isle of Man's financial system while developing your career in an environment that prioritises diversity and inclusion.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Supervise and oversee the compliance and performance of Non-Life Insurance entities.
  • Support the delivery of strategically important supervision work within the Authority's diverse mandate.
  • Contribute to the Authority's efforts in maintaining high standards of regulation within the financial sector.
  • Analyse and present complex information effectively to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Work collaboratively within a professional team to achieve common objectives and enhance the supervisory framework.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and support the development of junior staff as required.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Extensive experience in a relevant operational, actuarial, compliance, assurance, risk, or audit role.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Non-Life Insurance sector, including legislation, regulations, and guidance.
  • A professional qualification relevant to the financial services industry is essential, or willingness to work towards obtaining one.
  • Strong analytical abilities and a flexible approach to work, with an aptitude for assimilating and presenting information swiftly and accurately.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a diverse team environment.
