Client Relationship Assistant Manager / Manager

Our client is seeking a full-time Client Relationship Assistant Manager or Manager to join their team in Guernsey. This role involves managing relationships with employers and individual participants in pension products. The successful candidate will play a key role in educating clients about their pension schemes and ensuring strong communication and support for both individual members and corporate sponsors. You will maintain regular contact with clients, addressing queries and providing insights into the operational responsibilities of their pension schemes. This position offers opportunities for professional development and engagement with a diverse client base.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Meet with individual pension scheme members to inform them about the pension products offered.
  • Assist individual pension scheme members who are leaving or retiring from their employer-sponsored schemes in understanding their available options.
  • Take oversight and responsibility for corporate sponsored pension schemes, acting as the first point of contact for employers.
  • Maintain regular communication with employers, responding promptly to queries and conducting annual review meetings.
  • Keep accurate records of all communications and ensure employers are updated on relevant legal, tax, and regulatory requirements.
  • Communicate developments affecting scheme administration to both internal teams and employers.
  • Participate in client entertainment programmes to strengthen relationships.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Demonstrate strong Client Relationship Management skills.
  • Have at least 3 years of experience within a financial services environment.
  • Show self-discipline, self-motivation, excellent communication, and record-keeping skills.
  • Ability to explain complex financial products in an understandable manner.
  • Be personable, approachable, and sensitive to the diverse needs of clients.
  • Possess a sound understanding of the legislative requirements within Guernsey’s financial services sector.
  • Specific fiduciary or pensions experience, including knowledge of occupational and Retirement Annuity Trust (RAT) pension schemes in Guernsey is desirable, although training will be provided.
  • Hold a relevant professional qualification or degree level qualification that supports their experience.
