Client Accountant

Our client is seeking a full-time Client Accountant to manage the financial records of multiple clients in their location. This role is integral to ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards for a diverse range of client entities. In this position, you will maintain accounting records and prepare financial statements and VAT returns in accordance with UK Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (UK GAAP). You will also collaborate closely with Managers and Associate Directors while providing essential support to both colleagues and clients. JOB DUTIES:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and documentation using Sage and Xero.
  • Prepare financial statements for a variety of client companies and trusts in accordance with FRS 102 and FRS 105.
  • Prepare VAT returns, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Produce other ad-hoc reports as required by management or clients.
  • Assist and liaise with colleagues and clients on accounting and other queries.
  • Collaborate with various teams and clients to address their accounting needs.
  • Perform additional duties as requested, reflecting the dynamic nature of the role.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • Familiar with UK GAAP and principles of financial reporting.
  • Previous experience in the preparation of company and trust financial statements is essential.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with clients and colleagues.
  • Strong analytical skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated organisational and time management skills to manage multiple workloads.
  • Able to work independently under pressure while also being a team player.
  • Versatile and adaptable to changing priorities and tasks.
  • Holds ACCA or ACA qualification or is qualified by experience.
  • Proficient in accounting software, as well as Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Knowledge of handling sensitive and confidential information appropriately.
