Our client is looking for a full-time Tax Accountant to join their tax and accounting team. This role is critical in preparing financial statements and tax returns for a diverse range of clients while also managing personal and company tax compliance, advisory, and related financial reporting tasks. Located in the Isle of Man, the position involves working closely with clients and liaising with various internal teams to ensure timely submissions. The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to advance in their career, progressing from preparation to review stages of financial documentation. JOB DUTIES:
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, tax returns, and submissions for clients.
- Maintain company accounting records using Sage and Xero.
- Prepare financial statements up to the review stage, with an aim to advancing to the reviewer role.
- Compile iXBRL financial statements for submission to HMRC.
- Create company, individual, and trust tax computations and tax returns for submission to the Isle of Man tax office and HMRC.
- Liaise with HMRC and the Isle of Man Income Tax Office as necessary to resolve queries.
- Engage with clients to clarify requirements and ensure accuracy of submissions.
- Coordinate with various teams to manage submission deadlines effectively.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
- Demonstrated experience in the preparation of financial statements is essential.
- Familiarity with FRS 102 and FRS 105 is required; experience with IFRS is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of Isle of Man and UK tax regulations is advantageous; training will be provided.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills are necessary.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills are essential.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines while being adaptable.
- Capacity to research legislation and draft comprehensive reports for review.
