Our client seeks a Network and Infrastructure Engineer to support clients across the Channel Islands and the UK. This full-time role involves resolving IT issues, managing Windows environments, virtualisation technologies, and network infrastructure while collaborating with senior consultants to develop technical skills.
Job Duties:
- Resolve calls and faults related to IT infrastructure.
- Manage Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and virtualisation technologies.
- Maintain and troubleshoot network and firewall infrastructures.
- Assist with purchasing and supplier management.
- Support the Guernsey Network Operations Centre.
- Visit client sites to resolve incidents, carry out installations, or assist with IT projects.
- Collaborate with consultants on technical builds and infrastructure designs.
- Provide on-call support on a rota basis.
- Travel to the UK and Channel Islands as needed.
Job Requirements:
- 2–4 years' experience in a system or network/infrastructure role.
- Strong knowledge of desktop environments, Windows Server, Active Directory, and networking technologies.
- Methodical approach with logical troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong customer service focus and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- Relevant IT certifications (Cisco, Checkpoint, Ubiquiti, Microsoft, CompTIA) are desirable.
