Our client is seeking a Trust Officer to join their Trust department on a permanent, full-time basis. This role will provide support to a Senior Trust Officer in the administration of a varied portfolio of trusts, companies, foundations, and other entities. The successful candidate will demonstrate a proactive and client-focused approach, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Job Duties:
- Administer a portfolio of non-complex trusts and companies
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date client data
- Prepare standard minutes, resolutions, payments, and distributions
- Complete forms for bank and investment account openings and client changes
- Assist in managing the team’s correspondence and bring urgent matters to management’s attention
- Maintain statutory records and diarise action points from periodic reviews
- Ensure filing is completed in line with internal procedures
- Liaise with accounts clerks and oversee the delivery of annual accounts for signature
- Assist with meeting billing targets and support the fee collection process
- Support the Senior Trust Officer in tasks such as account openings, billing, and review follow-up
- Work with other departments to support seamless administration services
- Assist in training and supporting junior team members
- Contribute to other duties and projects as required
Job Requirements:
- 3–5 years’ experience in a trust administration role
- Working towards or holding a recognised trust qualification (e.g. STEP or ICSA)
- Solid understanding of Jersey trust and company legislation and AML regulations
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Effective communicator with strong time management abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; training will be provided for internal systems (Jobstream, Metastorm, Virtual Cabinet)
- Ability to manage workload independently and as part of a team
