Our client is seeking a Trust Officer to join their Private Wealth department in Guernsey on a permanent, full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of a portfolio of client entities, delivering a first-class service that meets regulatory standards and maintains excellent client relationships. This is a varied role that involves direct client contact, record maintenance, and oversight of fiduciary responsibilities in accordance with internal procedures.
Job Duties:
- Manage a portfolio of clients autonomously, ensuring efficient administration in line with terms of appointment
- Maintain accurate legal, statutory and accounting records in accordance with internal procedures
- Liaise with clients and professional intermediaries regarding their entities and investments
- Attend client and adviser meetings, both locally and overseas, as required
- Ensure timely completion of trust control functions, including reviews and register updates
- Identify, monitor and manage client assets in line with procedural requirements
- Contribute to the review of financial statements for administered entities
- Provide assistance to Senior Trust Officers as necessary and support training of direct reports
- Suggest improvements to procedures where appropriate
- Adhere to all internal compliance and operational protocols
- Undertake additional duties as reasonably requested
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience in trust and company administration within an offshore environment
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple workloads effectively
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop trusted relationships with clients and colleagues
- High level of written and verbal communication
- Sound technical knowledge of trust and company structures
- Confident, proactive, and able to use initiative in problem-solving
- Committed to professional development, including obtaining relevant qualifications
- Flexible, reliable, and team-oriented with a positive approach to change
