Trust Officer

Our client is seeking a Trust Officer to join their Private Wealth department in Guernsey on a permanent, full-time basis. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day administration of a portfolio of client entities, delivering a first-class service that meets regulatory standards and maintains excellent client relationships. This is a varied role that involves direct client contact, record maintenance, and oversight of fiduciary responsibilities in accordance with internal procedures.

Job Duties:

  • Manage a portfolio of clients autonomously, ensuring efficient administration in line with terms of appointment
  • Maintain accurate legal, statutory and accounting records in accordance with internal procedures
  • Liaise with clients and professional intermediaries regarding their entities and investments
  • Attend client and adviser meetings, both locally and overseas, as required
  • Ensure timely completion of trust control functions, including reviews and register updates
  • Identify, monitor and manage client assets in line with procedural requirements
  • Contribute to the review of financial statements for administered entities
  • Provide assistance to Senior Trust Officers as necessary and support training of direct reports
  • Suggest improvements to procedures where appropriate
  • Adhere to all internal compliance and operational protocols
  • Undertake additional duties as reasonably requested

Job Requirements:

  • Previous experience in trust and company administration within an offshore environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and manage multiple workloads effectively
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop trusted relationships with clients and colleagues
  • High level of written and verbal communication
  • Sound technical knowledge of trust and company structures
  • Confident, proactive, and able to use initiative in problem-solving
  • Committed to professional development, including obtaining relevant qualifications
  • Flexible, reliable, and team-oriented with a positive approach to change
