Our client is seeking a Group Financial Controller to join their dynamic team in the finance department. The successful candidate will report to the Head of Finance and play a key role in driving financial management across a prominent group. Click here to read more.
Job Duties:
- Lead the Finance Team towards best-in-class reporting and automation of financial reports.
- Ensure the timely and accurate delivery of consolidated accounts, including flash and monthly reports.
- Maintain the integrity of Group financials, ensuring all transactions are recorded accurately.
- Oversee daily, weekly, and monthly cashflow management and raise issues with the Head of Finance as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and financial policies.
- Perform internal and external reporting as required.
- Manage relationships and commercials with payment providers.
- Support the Head of Finance in liaising with the bank and producing monthly management information.
- Lead the audit process and cooperate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure adherence to financial guidelines.
- Create and implement financial policies to ensure operational efficiency.
- Review and approve payments.
Job Requirements:
- Proven ability to work with, interpret, and present complex financial data, along with experience in financial modelling within a commercial context.
- Strong experience in cashflow management.
- Demonstrated discretion and respect for confidentiality.
- Previous experience as a Financial Controller.
- Excellent knowledge of financial and accounting treatments and procedures.
- Advanced MS Excel skills.
- Understanding of financial regulations.
- Excellent analytical and numerical skills.
- Experience in financial planning and team management.
- Professional qualification (CIMA/ACA/ACCA), ideally gained in a professional practice.
- Experience using Advanced Open Accounts.
- Experience in managing remote teams.
