Temporary Customer Greeter - until 28 February 2025

Our client is seeking a Customer Greeter on a temporary basis to provide efficient and professional support services to customers interested in purchasing products and services. This role involves managing a customer waiting list, ensuring customers are seen promptly by the sales or support team, and providing a warm, welcoming environment. Job Duties:

  • Manage a customer waiting list to ensure all customers are seen by the sales or support team.
  • Clearly communicate expected wait times to customers, ensuring they feel informed and at ease.
  • Greet all customers with a friendly and warm demeanour, maintaining a professional presence.
  • Provide an efficient and professional sales service for all customers.
  • Offer clear and honest information to assist customers in making informed purchasing decisions.
  • Ensure every customer leaves with their needs met or in a process that satisfies them.
  • Become proficient in the use of computerised systems and other sales-related applications following training.
  • Offer ongoing support for products and services via face-to-face, email, or telephone contact, striving to resolve queries or complaints within one working day.
  • Respond to customer requirements with flexibility and professionalism.
  • Attend necessary training sessions to improve knowledge and service.
  • Adhere to the company's commercial and retail requirements to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Comply with company policies regarding health and safety, data protection, and security standards.
  • Work selected Thursday nights and Sundays during the Christmas period from November 1st to December 31st, as required.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Passion for delivering excellent customer service and putting the customer first.
  • Previous sales experience, with an appreciation for the importance of customer service.
  • Ability to handle difficult customers effectively and professionally.
  • Enthusiasm for new technology and an interest in modern retail technology.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Competency in producing accurate and high-quality work.
  • Ability to promote the company brand while delivering high standards of customer care.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, keyboard skills, and an understanding of mobile technology (highly desirable).
