Senior Associate, Finance & Corporate

Our client is seeking a Senior Associate to join their Corporate team. Recognised for their expertise in corporate matters, they provide high-quality advisory services on corporate restructurings, private equity transactions, joint ventures, and mergers. This full-time role will involve working closely with partners on a wide range of corporate matters, particularly focusing on investment funds, regulatory issues, and mergers and acquisitions. The Senior Associate will also take part in business development initiatives. Job Duties: 

  • Provide clear legal advice and prepare documentation following instructions from clients and intermediaries.
  • Review and comment on third-party documentation.
  • Lead transaction teams of lawyers and support staff to ensure excellent service delivery.
  • Act as the client contact for assigned matters, managing communications effectively.
  • Support and mentor junior fee earners, reviewing their progress and addressing concerns.
  • Ensure compliance with internal procedures on each matter, including conflict searches, engagement letters, billing, and due diligence.
  • Manage discrete tasks and ensure timely delivery of high-quality work.
  • Take responsibility for continuous professional development, meeting local CPD requirements.
  • Perform any other duties related to the role as needed.


Job Requirements: 

  • Relevant academic and professional qualifications, preferably from a common law jurisdiction.
  • Ideally a minimum of five years' post-qualification experience (PQE).
  • Strong knowledge in corporate, finance, financial services, regulatory, insolvency, restructuring, intellectual property, and funds law.
  • Ability to provide sound, commercially-focused legal advice and draft a variety of legal documents.
  • Eagerness to develop existing skills and update legal knowledge.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work autonomously and collaborate effectively.
