Senior / Finance Manager

Our client is seeking a Finance Manager to be based in Guernsey on a permanent, full-time basis. Reporting to the Group CFO, this role is fundamental to the Group's profitability, overseeing a revenue of over £4m. The successful candidate will manage financial duties and collaborate with teams across locations, including Mauritius and Dubai, to deliver effective financial support and reporting. Job Duties:

  • Produce and present monthly management accounts to local boards and contribute to Quarterly Business Reviews with Group.
  • Prepare financial statements in line with the timetable and manage the process with auditors.
  • Oversee the timely production of client accounts and management information delivered by the Isle of Man team.
  • Forecast and create annual 3-year plans.
  • Manage and deliver timetables for financial reporting.
  • Contribute to the company's financial strategy and decision-making processes.
  • Deliver insightful market, operational, and pricing analysis to challenge existing practices.
  • Manage the audit process and liaise with external personnel as needed.
  • Mentor and motivate your team, focusing on their development and satisfaction.
  • Undertake financial analysis and regulatory reporting as required.
  • Ensure robust financial systems and processes are in place.
  • Recommend improvements to existing financial models (P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow).
  • Take responsibility for personal development in line with agreed performance appraisal objectives.
  • Manage the purchase and sales ledger while utilising shared service centres effectively.

 

Job Requirements:

  • Professionally qualified accountant (CPA/CIMA/ACCA/ACA preferred) or qualified by experience.
  • Pensions experience is advantageous but not essential.
  • Excellent communication skills with both internal and external colleagues at all levels.
  • Strong people management skills with the ability to support, listen, encourage, and coach.
  • Hard-working, efficient, resilient, and motivated by results.
  • Ability to analyse and make recommendations, driving key business changes.
  • Team player with leadership capabilities.
  • Strong business and commercial acumen with an understanding of financial issues.
  • Desirable experience in a similar finance role, particularly within a corporate or financial services environment.
