Our client is seeking a Nokia Migration Support Engineer for a temporary position based in Jersey. This role involves providing technical support during the migration from a 2014 Nokia network to a Huawei network over a support timeline of approximately 3-5 months, from December to March. Job Duties:
- Provide Nokia HLR and HSS expertise to support the export of subscriber and authentication data from the Nokia HLR and HSS, preparing it for import to the Huawei HLR and HSS.
- Utilise Nokia PCRF skills to facilitate the export of subscriber and policy data from the Nokia PCRF and prepare it for import to Huawei.
- Support Diameter and SS7 link integration from a Nokia network to a Huawei network.
- Configure and test the Gx interface from Nokia GGSN to Huawei PCRF.
- Build HLR/HSS charging templates from the HLR towards a CAP billing system.
- Create Gy charging interfaces from a GGSN and P-GW towards a billing system.
- Provide OTA support to modify SIM parameters, including vendor selection, deployment, and testing.
- Assist in the creation and execution of test plans, troubleshooting any issues that arise.
- Conduct trial migrations and manage the final cutover process.
Job Requirements:
- Proven experience with Nokia HLR, HSS, PCRF, and GGSN technologies.
- Strong understanding of data export and integration processes between Nokia and Huawei systems.
- Experience with Diameter and SS7 link integration.
- Familiarity with billing systems and charging interfaces.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
