Temporary Compliance Administrator - 6-9 Months

Our client is seeking an Compliance Administrator for a fixed-term contract of 6 to 9 months to support the Risk Assurance Team. The role involves executing an effective programme of risk assurance, including risk-based thematic monitoring and maintaining ongoing monitoring activities. The successful candidate will perform regular testing on high-risk areas, providing detailed reports for analysis. This position is based in Jersey, with some scope for Agile Working depending on the business's needs and the individual’s preferences. 


Job Duties: 

  • Execute assigned testing within the defined risk-based monitoring programme in line with set timeframes, including compliance with internal policies, the Codes, and AML/CFT/CPF Handbook and relevant laws and regulations.
  • Complete testing sheets for each test carried out, presenting results in an organised and detailed manner.
  • Evaluate testing results (e.g., Satisfactory, Partially Satisfactory, Not Satisfactory) to ensure accurate reporting of control deficiencies.
  • Maintain accurate records of testing performed, including detailed results analysis.
  • Participate in risk-based thematic monitoring as required.
  • Analyse testing outcomes and recommend changes or enhancements as appropriate based on a risk-based approach.
  • Make recommendations for the effective and timely resolution of any deficiencies identified through the monitoring process.
  • Assist with the assessment and reporting on the effectiveness of monitoring and testing in Jersey for board reports.
  • Support the preparation of reports to Boards, Committees, and Senior Management.

 

Job Requirements: 

  • ICA Certificate in AML awareness or other relevant qualification.
  • 3 years’ experience in the finance industry.
  • 1 year’s experience within compliance and risk environments.
  • Working knowledge of NavOne is preferred.
  • Understanding of local finance industry and regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of AML legislation, Orders, and the AML Handbook.
  • Familiarity with the Codes of Practice for Funds and Trust Company Business.
