Our client is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Manager/Director to oversee the Insurance Management area. Job Duties:
- Acting as the Account Director for insurance management clients, liaising with boards, committees, service providers, and advisors.
- Delivering high-quality client services effectively and efficiently, ensuring adherence to service level standards.
- Ensuring full compliance with client regulatory and legal requirements.
- Preparing and presenting reports to client boards and committees.
- Serving as the main point of contact with the GFSC and other external bodies.
- Assisting with new business presentations, proposals, and insurance licence applications.
- Collaborating with the compliance team to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Contributing to the company’s business plan and budget objectives.
- Overseeing the day-to-day management of the Insurance Management Team, including appraisals and HR matters.
- Implementing improvements to policies, procedures, and practices in line with changes to GFSC rules and guidance.
- Managing operational risk awareness within the insurance area.
- Participating in committees, such as the Insurance Risk and Compliance Committee (IRCC) and the Insurance Marketing Committee.
- Supporting the CEO in preparing and reporting to relevant boards and committees.
- Assisting with ad hoc projects as required.
Job Requirements:
- ACII qualification or equivalent (or working towards it).
- Proven experience in insurance company management, with life insurance experience being preferable.
- Strong technical knowledge of Guernsey’s legal and regulatory requirements for insurance companies.
- Demonstrated experience in managing and leading teams.
- Capability to influence, support, and implement change effectively.
- Strong relationship management skills.
- Proven ability to communicate effectively across the business and with external stakeholders.
