Our client is seeking three Technical Specialists to join their newly established Technology Supervision Unit within the supervisory area of the organisation. This role involves providing technical support, resources, and advice across supervisory and policy divisions. The role focuses on industry use of advanced technologies, including AI tools, Blockchain, Compliance Screening Systems, Cyber Security Systems, and traditional Data Management tools and Systems Architecture. Job Duties:
- Support the delivery of high-quality prudential, financial crime, and conduct regulation within the jurisdiction.
- Assist in protecting and enhancing the jurisdiction’s international reputation within the financial services sector.
- Contribute to the implementation of risk-based supervision, enforcement, and policy creation.
- Conduct on-site supervision, including planning, leading visits, and reviewing feedback and findings.
- Assist with regulatory actions and licensing, product, and exemption applications.
- Engage in the review of technological use by firms, including emerging trends in AI, Blockchain, and other advanced systems.
- Develop supervisory policies related to technology use in the financial services sector.
- Liaise with supervisory and policy teams to assess trends and prepare briefings and reports.
- Communicate findings effectively, both internally and to external licensees and stakeholders.
- Represent the organisation locally and internationally, delivering training, workshops, and presentations.
- Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and codes of practice, making constructive recommendations for improvement.
- Collaborate across teams to foster a culture of cooperation and shared understanding.
Job Requirements:
- Comprehensive understanding of technology applications in the financial services sector, including AI, Blockchain, and Compliance Systems.
- Experience with risk-based supervision and regulatory frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, tailored to varied audiences.
- Proven ability to manage changing priorities and deliver high-quality work under pressure.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on identifying and assessing trends and risks.
- Familiarity with regulatory laws, rules, and guidance, with a commitment to maintaining up-to-date technical knowledge.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Relevant professional qualifications or willingness to achieve accreditation as required.
