Executive Director of Technology & Data

Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic leader to join their organisation as the Executive Director of Technology and Data. This pivotal role focuses on shaping and delivering advanced technology and data strategies that support organisational goals, regulatory effectiveness, and service excellence. Working closely with the Board, the Director General, and Executive peers, you will lead large-scale transformation programmes, drive innovation, and develop a high-performing team to position the organisation as a leading digital regulator. Job Duties: 

  • Develop and execute technology and data strategies aligned with organisational priorities.
  • Lead a team of in-house and outsourced resources, fostering a motivated and agile workforce.
  • Drive process improvements, automation, and operational efficiency through technology and data.
  • Oversee key initiatives, including Registry transformation, finance system integration, and legislative changes.
  • Enhance industry data collections and reduce manual efforts to improve regulatory effectiveness.
  • Represent the organisation externally, building its reputation for high performance and value for money.
  • Contribute to organisational governance as part of the Executive team and engage with the Board.

 

Job Requirements: 

  • Proven experience in leading technology and data teams, delivering large-scale transformation programmes.
  • Strong strategic mindset with the ability to translate vision into actionable plans.
  • Exceptional communication skills for engaging with diverse stakeholders and simplifying complex concepts.
  • Expertise in leveraging technology and data to enhance efficiency, regulatory effectiveness, and customer service.
  • Gravitas and knowledge to discuss technology, strategy, and organisational change confidently.
  • Familiarity with Jersey’s financial services industry and regulatory environment is advantageous but not essential.
  • A collaborative and results-driven approach to leadership, focused on team development and organisational success.
