Our client is seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Finance Assistant to support the Financial Controller in preparing financial information for various entities. This role includes internal accounting, client billing, debtor management, and assisting with monthly management accounts. The Finance Assistant will play an essential role in the smooth operation of the finance function, contributing to the delivery of accurate financial reporting and supporting strategic objectives.
Job Duties:
- Assist with the preparation of management accounts and other financial reports.
- Compile data for inclusion in monthly management accounts and financial statements.
- Support the budget process by gathering and organising relevant information.
- Perform double-entry bookkeeping, including accrual accounting.
- Complete and input time entries into the billing system daily.
- Input supplier payments and assist with payment processing.
- Undertake general administrative tasks as required, ensuring timely and efficient operations.
- Contribute to ad hoc projects aligned with the role and evolving departmental needs.
- Consistently adhere to the organisation’s core values in all activities.
Job Requirements:
- Currently holding or working towards an accountancy qualification (e.g., ACCA).
- Proven experience working in an accounts department, demonstrating strong technical knowledge.
- Experience working successfully within a team environment.
- High level of motivation and a proactive approach to work.
- Strong analytical mindset with effective problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to foster collaboration and teamwork while maintaining individual accountability.
- A proactive and responsible attitude with the ability to follow strict financial guidelines while using initiative.
